FERGUSON, Betty Blackwell, 83, of Prattville, passed away Sunday March 29, 2015.
Funeral services were held Thursday April 2nd at 2:00 PM at the Prattville First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Coleman and Pastor Dave Burns officiating. Burial followed in Prattville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Christopher Boutin, Ken Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Taylor Burgan ,Trevor Keil and a great grandson, Tyler Allen.
Mrs. Ferguson was born June 6, 1931 in Walker County, Alabama to the late Grady P. Blackwell and Nellie Dutton Blackwell. She was a longtime member of the Order of...

FERGUSON, Betty Blackwell, 83, of Prattville, passed away Sunday March 29, 2015.

Mrs. Ferguson was born June 6, 1931 in Walker County, Alabama to the late Grady P. Blackwell and Nellie Dutton Blackwell. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church. Mrs. Ferguson loved cooking, baking, spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired MSgt. John Kenneth Ferguson, USAF, in 1980.
She is survived by two sons, David Ferguson of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Mike Ferguson and his wife, Beth of Prattville; two daughters and sons in law, Debbie and Guy Boutin, Teresa and Chuck Keil, all of Prattville; a sister, Patricia Salmon of Jasper, Alabama, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Prattville First Baptist Church or to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
